Last weekend, M made her way to Kirstenbosch Gardens, which is recognized as one of the most spectacular botanical gardens in the world. Not only is it host to over 7,000 species of plants, but it is set against the backdrop of Cape Town’s Table Mountain. The garden was established in 1913 in an attempt to preserve the richness of South Africa’s diverse flora. As a result, it is home to some rare and extremely endangered species of plants and is dubbed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

To celebrate the beauty of the garden, we took the time to capture photos of some unique plants for our post. Along with the photographs, M wore a pale blue springtime dress bedecked with small birds and flowers that matched the scenery. She paired it with a beige, asymmetrical jacket and a pair of comfortable neutral-colored oxfords. The outfit and this post itself are both meant to help us appreciate the nature around us, and the abundance of life within it. As the explorer Charles Lindbergh said, “In the wilderness, I sense the miracle of life.”

El fin de semana pasado M fue al jardín de  Kirstenbosch, reconocido cómo uno de los jardines botánicos tropicales más impresionantes del mundo. Con más de 7000 especies de plantas, tiene además la ventaja de estar situado cerca de Table Mountain lo que hace que las vistas sean impresionantes. El jardín fue creado en 1913 con el objetivo de preservar la abundante y variada flora sudafricana, hoy es reconocido por la UNESCO porque contiene plantas en grave peligro de extinción.

Para celebrar la belleza del jardín , M decidió hacer fotos de algunas de las plantas. Para ello, se puso un vestido que combinaba perfectamente con su entorno por el estampado de flores y pájaros. En este post se aprecia muy bien la riqueza de la naturaleza tropical de Sudáfrica. Cómo bien dijo el explorador Charles Lindbergh “En la naturaleza siento el milagro que es la vida”
