As bloggers, we sometimes find ourselves in situations where we may be running out of clothes or new styles to post. However, instead of splurging on new items to keep the blogging community satisfied, we’re lucky enough to have found a much simpler and completely free solution. Over the holiday break, E went home to visit her family and raided her sisters’ closets for some style inspiration. What makes it even better is that she has three sisters who are all the same size! Not to mention, it allows us to incorporate items that we may not normally use in our wardrobe, and can help expand our styles as well.

Today’s look was created mostly on items pulled from E’s oldest sister’s closet. The overall outfit is based on a combination of earthy colors and slightly contrasting patterns. We layered a brown sweater over a cute mini skirt and added a jacket for warmth. Some of the new pieces that we really love include a cute pair of crisscrossed brown stockings and slightly masculine ankle boots. To break off some of the brown, she added a clay-colored handbag and a pretty silk scarf. The scarf was tied in a more unconventional manner so that its shape was more aligned with the flow of the jacket. For additional interesting ways of tying a scarf, we recommend checking out the awesome video created by Wendy’s Lookbook.
