Now that we have reached the midst of winter, it can be helpful to backtrack to the a/w 2013 fashion shows that wowed audiences last spring for some unique inspiration. It is undeniable that the standout show of the season was the notorious Louis Vuitton Train. Paying homage to the brand’s foundation as a luggage purveyor, a charming, handmade locomotive carried a sea of elegantly dressed models into the courtyard of the Louvre, which was transformed into a vintage train station. Featuring a set of exaggerated hats, feminine coats, and over-sized buttons, the show evoked the allure and romance of traveling to new places.

Using these influences, we built an outfit based on the glamour associated with a traveling woman. One of the major themes of the LV show included incorporating various different shades of brown into each outfit for a more rustic feel. Accordingly, A wore a long-sleeved gray dress for warmth and layered it with a slightly loose, brown coat. The addition of animal print scarf infused a modern twist to the style. To polish off the look, she added a pair of leather gloves, brown boots, and sleek handbag, leaving her ready to hop aboard the LV Express.

 Si necesitáis inspiración puede ser buena idea volver a ver los desfiles que triunfaron para la temporada otoño/invierno 2013. El que sin duda más llamó la atención fue el famoso tren de Louis Vuitton. Rememorando los orígenes de fabricantes de equipaje de la marca, Marc Jacobs decidió recrear para la ocasión un tren de vapor que avanzó lentamente hasta situarse en el centro del patio del Louvre, transformado en estación vintage. Las modelos, elegantemente vestidas también con un guiño retro, bajaron del tren escaleras acompañadas por hombres vestidos de botones llevando numerosos bolsos de la icónica casa, y desfilaron por los andenes. Con como protagonistas los maxi sombreros, abrigos de paño con grandes botones y guantes, el desfile nos transportó a otra era y evocaba en todos los asistentes el romance de viajar a lugares nuevos.

Algo en el look de A de este día os recordó a ese desfile, por el glamour, los guantes y la superposición de diferentes tonos de beige y marrón. Con la bufanda con estampado animal A consiguió un darle un toque más moderno a un atuendo elegante y clásico. Lista para embarcar el Orient Express de LV.
