This week, we take a step back into one of the most revolutionary eras of fashion: the 1920s. With rapid worldwide communication and innovation emerging, the social climate began to change and with it, so did our fashions. The 1920s is often marked as the decade in which fashion met modernity and freedom. With common social restrictions falling, including granting the right for women to vote in the US, overwhelming fashion restrictions also fell. Clothing became more comfortable, hemlines rose, and fun accessories pervaded.

Today, with the emergence of increasingly popular shows such as Downtown Abbey and nostalgia for vintage styles, 1920s fashion is seeing a noticeable revival. Inspired by the revival, A incorporated some classic 1920s elements into her outfit when she attended her good friend’s wedding. Based on a palette of light colors, the centerpiece of the outfit was a pale blue, long-sleeved dress whose loose and feminine nature gave it a fun and flirty vibe. For warmth, she incorporated a pale gray and white fur coat and a beautifully designed headpiece. Along with a bright silver clutch and nude pumps, the final look radiates the essence of the roaring 20s.

Esta semana volvemos a una de las épocas más revolucionarias de la historia de la moda: los años 20. Con el final de la guerra y los avances tecnológicos las costumbres comenzaron a cambiar y con ellas, la moda. Los años 20 marcan el nacimiento de una una mujer más libre y moderna: se acortaron las faldas y se dio prioridad a la comodidad particularmente con la desaparición definitiva de los corsets.

Hoy, con la popularidad creciente de Downton Abbey, los años 20 están más de moda que nunca. Para la boda de la que os hablamos hace algunos posts, A decidió utilizar un poco de esa nostalgia para crear su look. Eligió un vestido cuyo corte es muy característico de dicha época, combinándolo con un abrigo de piel y accesorios en colores claritos. El turbante da el toque final para un atuendo perfecto para asisitir a una boda de invierno con estilo, o para salir a bailar Charleston.
